On the afternoon of December 8th, the final of the 2024 "Golden Autumn Cup" badminton competition of Wuhan Textile University came to a successful conclusion at the Sunshine Campus. This competition was hosted by the Badminton Association of Wuhan Textile University and attracted the active participation of badminton enthusiasts from various departments. The competition lasted for several hours and was highly competitive. Eventually, Xu Ruoxuan from Birmingham College won the women's singles championship. Additionally, her mixed doubles team with Huang Junhan from the Fashion College claimed the mixed doubles title.

The atmosphere at the competition site was tense and intense. The athletes gave it their all and demonstrated outstanding badminton skills. Xu Ruoxuan fully demonstrated her technical advantages in the women's singles competition. With her tenacious willpower and calm mindset, she defeated her opponent and eventually won the gold medal. In the mixed doubles competition, she and Huang Junhan worked in perfect harmony, demonstrated superb skills and outstanding tactical application, successfully defeating the strong opponent and winning the mixed doubles championship.

As a top performer in this competition, Xu Ruoxuan said, “For me, participating in the competition is not only a challenge to my skills but also a test of my mindset.” The charm of competitive sports lies in the joy of victory that can be gained through competitions and it inspires me to keep making progress. I'm very glad to represent Nanhu in the competition and also very happy to have made new friends at the Sunshine Campus. I will keep my original aspiration and continue to forge ahead on the path of badminton. Student Huang Junhan shared his thoughts after the competition: "I'm very glad to represent the Nanhu Campus and achieve results at the Sunshine Campus." Here, we not only got to know many excellent badminton enthusiasts, but also realized our own shortcomings in terms of skills.
