On the afternoon of November 28th, the entry “All for Your Own Good”from the Birmingham College Psychological Association stood out in the final stage of the 13th “Enjoying Youth, My Heart Facing the Sun” psychological drama competition held by the school and won the first prize. This competition attracted the participation of psychological associations and teams from various departments of the entire university. The theme of the competition centered on youth, mental health and emotional expression, aiming to help contemporary college students better understand themselves, pay attention to mental health and improve their emotional management skills.

In the preliminary round, the work 《It's All for Your Own Good》 achieved the top score in the whole school and successfully advanced to the final. On the day of the final, the BIFCA Psychological Association presented their further refined works on stage. With solid scripts and vivid performances, they successfully conveyed the psychological care of“for your own good”and the confusion and struggle during the growth of youth. The script unfolds through a common family setting, telling the story of the conflicts and contradictions between a college student and his parents regarding future choices. Out of concern, parents put excessive pressure on their children, and the children seek psychological support in confusion and helplessness. Ultimately, through self-growth regulation and careful observation of the things around, and by taking the initiative to communicate with parents, an understanding and consensus were gradually reached. The script concluded with a warm and enlightening ending.

Fang Kaijin, the instructor of the association, stated that mental health is an important part of one's personal growth path. Through the vivid form of skits, students can not only objectively understand the manifestations of various psychological problems in life, but also learn how to better deal with emotions and pressure, enhance their self-regulation ability, and confidently face all kinds of challenges on the road of future life.

This psychological skit competition is not only a display of artistic performances, but also a platform for popularizing mental health knowledge and emotional communication. Through the form of skits, the competition helped students more intuitively recognize the common psychological problems in the process of youth growth, and proposed solutions through professional psychological intervention methods. Meanwhile, the holding of the competition has promoted the construction of mental health culture on campus and enhanced students' psychological quality.

With the gradual promotion and in-depth development of mental health activities, the Birmingham College will continue to be committed to creating a more positive, healthy and vibrant campus environment for students. Guide and assist students in maintaining psychological balance, relieving stress, enhancing psychological resilience, and improving their ability to cope with challenges. Through diversified psychological support and activity arrangements, the college will provide each student with more comprehensive care and assistance, inspiring them to be more confident and courageous in pursuing their dreams on the paths of academic studies, life and future career development.
