The 2024 badminton competition of Birmingham College came to a successful conclusion with the theme of “Han”Moving Life and “Yu” moving the future

To enhance students' physical fitness and effectively improve the effectiveness of the five-education integration, on the afternoon of April 28th, with the sound of the first match of the men's group being hit, the 2024 “Han” Moving Life, “Yu” Moving the Future badminton competition of Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creativity officially kicked off.

The competition features multiple events including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. On the court, the players are agile and highly skilled. Every smash and every pick is brimming with strength and wisdom. The students watching the competition were also infected by the wonderful performances of the contestants. Cheers and shouts of encouragement rose and fell one after another, and the atmosphere on the spot was extremely lively.

In the men's singles event, the players fought hard, with the scores alternating, demonstrating superb skills and excellent competitive form. The women's singles event was equally exciting. The students' delicate skills and tenacious willpower drew continuous applause from the students present. Eventually, Wang Sihang and Xiong Haifan won the championship with their outstanding performances. In the mixed doubles competition, the players worked in perfect harmony, demonstrating both offensive and defensive skills, and showcased their feather ball skills to the fullest. Finally, the college presented the contestants with certificates of honor and prizes.

The Birmingham College attaches great importance to guiding students to develop healthy study and living habits and strongly advocates that students “get off the Internet, leave the dormitory and go to the playground”. Through a common interest and hobby, students get together to exchange ball skills, have heart-to-heart talks, temper their willpower in sports and learn to communicate through communication.
