Birmingham City University, as a modern and comprehensive higher education institution in the UK, has a history dating back to 1843. It is located in Birmingham, the second largest city in the UK, and has over 25,000 students on campus. The university offers education at the language, foundation, undergraduate, master's and doctoral levels. It has a wide range of majors and excellent teaching quality, enjoying a high reputation in fields such as art design, business management, engineering technology and media. Our School of Art and Design is one of the largest and oldest art and design schools in the UK. Many of its programs have been rated as excellent by QAA (Quality Assurance Agency for Education in the UK), and over 60% of the RAE research assessment of the school of Art and Design has rated it as “world-leading”. The employment rate of graduates has remained above 95%.

From July 5th to July 26th, 2025, BCU will hold a three-week International Summer School. This is an excellent academic and cultural exchange journey, aiming to provide immersive British academic experiences for students around the world, broaden their international horizons and enhance their professional skills. We sincerely invite your school to organize the current students to participate in this summer

一、Highlights of the Summer Camp

1. A unique learning experience

1. Students will have an in-depth experience of university life in the UK, study professional courses, and have the opportunity to visit historic towns and cities in the UK, such as London, Shakespeare's House, York, etc., to feel the rich historical and cultural heritage.

2. A rich selection of courses

1. The summer school offers a wide range of courses covering multiple academic fields, including jewelry design and production, digital media production, fashion design, international business, artificial intelligence and machine learning, etc., to meet the interests and needs of different students.

3. Social and cultural activities

1. A series of social activities, field trips and cultural experiences have been arranged. Students will interact and communicate with students from all over the world, make new friends and gain a deep understanding of British society and culture.

二、Summer camp arrangements

Arrival date: July 5,2025

Teaching start date: July 7,2025

The course completion date is July 25,2025

Departure and return date: July 26,2025

三、Description of fees

Summer camp fee: Starting from £2,300. The specific fee varies depending on the courses selected.

The fee includes: course tuition, three weeks' accommodation, Birmingham airport transfer service, one-day tour of British cultural attractions (three cities), social activities, international summer course T-shirts, etc.

The cost does not include: travel expenses to and from the UK, visa fees, and other personal travel and living expenses (such as meal expenses). It is recommended that students prepare between 20 and 50 pounds every day for expenses such as meals.

四、Information of registration

Registration period: From now until May 1,2025

Registration way: BCU official website (www.bcu.ac.uk/international/summer-school/how-to-apply), fill out the registration form and pay the registration fee and tuition fees.

Registration target: University students currently enrolled, aged 18 and above.
