He pointed out that Wuhan Textile University has closely followed the national strategic demands to carry out exploration and practice, and has achieved remarkable accomplishments. Team members have demonstrated outstanding innovation capabilities and teamwork spirit. After the discussion and exchange, Li Xuechu and his team visited the Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creativity. The leadership of Birmingham Institute of Fashion and Creativity gave Li Xuechu and his team a detailed introduction to the school's educational philosophy, the characteristics and achievements of its open education.

According to the “Notice on Selecting and Establishing National and Provincial Model Model Workers and Workers' Innovation Studios in the Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports System in 2023”(E Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Work [2023] No. 2), Professor Li Wanjun's innovation studio of our university has been selected and established as a model model workers and workers' innovation studio in the education, science, culture, health and sports system of Hubei Province.

Professor Li Wanjun's Innovation Studio was established in 2018. Since its establishment, under the leadership of Professor Li Wanjun, the team members have, on the one hand, joined hands with Birmingham City University in the UK, which is the first Sino-foreign cooperative education institution at the undergraduate level in Hubei Province, and have made considerable progress in the integration and innovative development of higher design education between China and the UK. The project “Construction and Practice of a New Paradigm for Cultivating Outstanding Design Talents with 'Diversified Integration and All-round Guarantee'” was awarded the first batch of new liberal arts research and reform practice projects by the Ministry of Education. “Enterprise Planning for Graphic Design”was recognized as a national first-class undergraduate course. The project “Reform and Practice of the International Creative Design Talent Cultivation Path with 'One Chain, Three Stages and Five Dimensions'” won the first prize of the Teaching Achievement Award of Hubei Province. On the other hand, the team members have actively carried out scientific research cooperation between China and foreign countries in the field of creative design industry, conducting a series of scientific research work around innovative product design. In the past three years, the total amount of scientific research funds received has reached tens of millions of yuan. The research achievements have successively provided intellectual support for the development of government departments and enterprises such as Jiang 'an District of Wuhan City and Wuhan Institute of Design and Engineering. Meanwhile, Professor Li Wanjun's Innovation Studio has been actively engaged in the transformation of achievements and the application for awards. In the past three years, it has provided technical support to enterprises and successively transferred four invention patents. The research achievements have won the first prize for scientific and technological progress of the China National Textile and Apparel Council.
