Recently, students from Wuhan Textile University stood out in the provincial competition of the 15th “Challenge Cup” Extracurricular Academic and Technological Works Competition for College Students and won the first prize in the provincial competition at one stroke. This project focuses on the pain points in the inheritance of red culture, injecting new impetus into the protection of red heritage with innovative technologies. Its achievements have been unanimously recognized by the review experts.

The team spent one year visiting 78 revolutionary sites in depth, collecting and organizing questionnaire data, and forming research results that have both practical depth and theoretical value. Project leaders Gan Lu and Zhao Zixuan introduced that, against the historical backdrop of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, with a professional perspective of visual communication and digital media art, they actively explored the anti-Japanese cultural sites in the E-Hu-Wan region, interpreted the stories of red heritage through digitalization and creative design, and opened up a new digital path for the inheritance of red culture.

Research shows that the current protection of red heritage is confronted with challenges such as monotonous display forms, insufficient participation of young people, and low integration of technology. In response to these issues, the team members used artistic design techniques to tell red stories and pass on the red genes.

During the project's advancement, college students delved deeply into the local red history. On this land that has given birth to countless heroic deeds, they were deeply moved by the blood and dedication of their predecessors. This unforgettable experience planted the seeds of love for their hometown and the motherland in their hearts. As their understanding of history deepened, this seed gradually took root, sprouted and grew into a passionate sense of patriotism and love for the country.
